Strong-Cuevas sculpture
Strong-Cuevas sculpts powerful, larger than life pieces that can hold sway on a hilltop, and conjure up tribal pieces from Africa or Oceania. In this film, we follow her from her studio in Amagansett, Long Island to the foundry up the Hudson where her pieces take their final shape in its glowing furnace. With an exacting eye, she works with the staff of experts to refine the shape and burnish the finish.
