The law said wild Johnny Toro must hang and the Governor ordered he would die in his squalid hometown - to teach respect for the law. Gunfighter Clay Stocker seemed an odd choice to send down to keep the peace until young Johnny swung. A lot of men could go down before he mounted the gallows. But Stocker would survive. He always did. He was that kind of man.
