The collection consists of correspondence, typescripts and leaflets. The majority of the correspondence, which is in the form of letters, postcards and invitations, is from many notable poets to the editor of Black Sun, Harvey Tucker. Amongst the noteworthy correspondents are: Hugh Fox, Ben Hiatt, Duane Locke and Richard Morris. The typescripts include those for publication in Volume 1, No. 1 through Volume 2, No. 3. In addition, there are typescripts of the writings of Harvey Tucker, editor of the magazine.
