- "Published books and articles, and typewritten drafts of speeches about various aspects of Franklin County history, written by John L. Finafrock. Included are 19 volumes of "The Franklin County School Annual: Program of the Annual Sessions of the Teachers' Institute held in Chambersburg, Pa," 1915-1920, 1927-1942, which contain articles by Finafrock on various topics relating to the settlement, military history and industrialization of Franklin County. Also included are the following books and manuscripts by Finafrock: "First Paper on Robert McClellan," "Second Paper on Robert McClellan," "Notes on Franklin County History," "Traditions and Records of a Pioneer Family" (that of James McCullough, 18th century immigrant), "History of the Organization of the Childrens' Home in Chambersburg," (aka the John H. Shock Home of the Children's Aid Society), and "The Buchanans," a paper about the family of president James Buchanan. Completing the collection are three copies of the Chambersburg Newspaper "Public Opinion (Franklin Repository)" which contain articles about Finafrock and local history."
