Anna Enquist wurde 1945 in Amsterdam geboren, ist ausgebildete Konzertpianistin und arbeitete lange Jahre als Psychoanalytikerin. Seit 1991 veröffentlicht sie Gedichte, Romane und Erzählungen. Ihre Werke wurden mit mehreren Preisen ausgezeichnet und in fünfzehn Sprachen übersetzt. Anna Enquist lebt in Amsterdam."
