Bastard boys

Bastard Boys is the story of the battle for Australia's waterfront between Patrick's Stevedores and the Maritime Union of Australia (MUA), a bitter fight that stopped the nation. More than just a dispute over reform, it became highly controversial because of the role in the dispute of the Howard government and then workplace minister, Peter Reith, who were accused of trying to break the Maritime Union and therefore undermine the power of unions in Australia.
