"A 13-year old boy flees his dysfunctional home and becomes a street hustler in Copenhagen. He seeks out the companionship of older men and is adopted by a street gang that engages in violent attacks."
"Nick is 13 years old, fatherless, and weary of living with a mother whose lifestyle takes precedence over her maternal role. He longs for a father, and following the example of a friend, flees to Copenhagen. Nick has a variety of experiences there: a romance with Ralph, an older man (until his girlfriend returns to town); a brief stint with a gang of petty thieves, from whence he moves on to working for their fence; a stint in a commune, and the acquisition of his own girlfriend, Rene. The film is an occasionally bizarre combination of coming-of-age story, a scathing portrayal of callous youthful violence and hedonism, and heavy-handed tragic morality play."
