Hudson River Valley and Dutchess County manuscripts
Correspondence, diaries, genealogical notebooks, account ledgers, indentures, receipts and other business papers, scrapbooks and printed material, and a miscellany of other manuscript types relating to the history of the Hudson Valley, and particularly Dutchess County. Most of the materials deal with business matters but also include personal correspondence, diaries, records of the Mid-Hudson Regional Committee on the Conservation of Cultural Resources, 1941-1943, and inventories of Dutchess County church and public records prepared by the Works Progress Administration, ca. 1937-1938. Examples include bird banding records and diaries of Maunsell Crosby, 1909-1931; papers of the DePeyster family, 1719-1905; diary of Clarence Gray Dinsmore, 1882-1883; minutes of the Dutchess County Council of Appointment, 1778-1779; daybooks from the Hyde Park Drug Store of Ray Hill, 1915-1942; papers of the Livingston family, 1736-1892; letterbooks and diary of Mary Livingston Ludlow, 1858-1867; diaries of Jane Ann Coffin Morgan, wife of Caleb Morgan, 1849-1862; minutes of the New Hamburg Ice Boat Club, 1869-1885; daybooks of William A.
