Racially-motivated violence litigation strategies

The Center's Project on the Ku Klux Klan litigated Crumsey v. Justice Knights of the Ku Klux Klan (E.D. Tn. 1980) and obtained a judgment against the Chattanooga KKK for $535,000 on behalf of five black women who had been victims of Klan violence. Since that verdict, the Center has vigorously pursued the Klansmen, in spite of the problems of collection. This book is a culmination of that work, intended to help familiarize lawyers with this type of litigation.
