  • "This work concerns the place of the Person-Centered Approach (PCA) in Martinique, French West Indies. The PCA is a an approach of psychotherapy and of counseling developed by Carl ROGERS in the 50's. These researches aim to confirm the relevance of the PCA values in the Martinique context and to compare their integration in a Martinique training center and in a French training center. The results demonstrate a cultural difference in this integration of values such as genuinety, unconditional positive regard and empathy.Therefore, they show us a new way to teaching both with adults and children or youngters."

L'ACP est une approche de la psychothérapie et de la relation d'aide développée par Carl ROGERS dans les années 1950.Ce travail de thèse permet de vérifier la validité des valeurs de l'ACP dans le contexte martiniquais et de proposer une comparaison de leur intégration par des stagiaires entre un centre martiniquais et un centre en France. Les résultats montrent qu'il y a une différence culturelle dans cette intégration des valeurs telles que l'authenticité, l'acceptation inconditionnelle et l'empathie. Ces recherches ouvrent la voie à une nouvelle façon d'enseigner tant le domaine de la formation adulte que dans le domaine scolaire."
