The hours

In 1949, Laura Brown, a pregnant housewife, is planning a party for her husband, but she can't stop reading the novel 'Mrs. Dalloway'. Clarissa Vaughn, a modern woman living in present times is throwing a party for her friend Richard, a famous author dying of AIDS. These two stories are simultaneously linked to the work and life of Virginia Woolf, who's writing the novel mentioned before.

  • "Three eras, three stories, and three women coalesce into a continuum that flows through the heart of "The Hours". In early 1920s, Virginia Woolf is battling insanity as she begins to write her first novel, "Mrs. Dalloway". Over two decades later, a typical housewife, Laura Brown, is profoundly affected by this novel and considers making a devastating change in her life. In 2002, Clarissa Vaughan, a modern version of Woolf's "Mrs Dalloway", is planning a farewell party for her AIDS-inflicted former lover, Richard. Their stories interweave and finally come together in a surprising, transcendent moment of shared recognition."

(Mymovies)."
  • "'The Hours' is an intense drama which revolves around three very different women, played by three extraordinary actresses. All of whom are battling with issues of freedom, responsibility and identity."
