"Nel lontano 1940 la Walt Disney Production stupiva il mondo (di allora) con un film di animazione che 'metteva in immagini' alcuni dei più famosi brani di musica classica. Il film avrebbe dovuto intitolarsi didascalicamente "Il concerto filmato". Qualcuno ebbe la felice idea di chiamarlo Fantasia e quel titolo fece il giro del globo. Fantasia 2000 che è stato in gestazione nei laboratori Disney sin dal 1991, invece non convince fino in fondo. Siamo così di fronte a un'operazione che vorrebbe vivere di gloria riflessa (il film capostipite viene citato più di una volta) e fatica a trovare una propria identità. Tranne che nell'episodio, dalla grafica raffinatissima e dalla storia che parla di 'vinti' che si riscattano, dedicato alla Rapsodia in blu di George Gershwin. Lì si vede cosa sarebbe potuto essere Fantasia 2000e invece non è. (Mymovies)."
