This is the second of a two-volume work by Captain John Smith, the English adventurer and explorer who helped found Jamestown, the first permanent colony in North America. This volume begins in 1610 with the arrival of the new governor, Sir Thomas Gates, and the abandoning of Jamestown, and continues through Smith's adventures in New-England and the Summer Isles.
