Data from the commercial fishery for lake whitefish, Coregonus clupeaformis (Mitchill), on Great Slave Lake, Northwest Territories, 1981
In 1971, the Department of Fisheries began a long term stock assessment and monitoring program designed to collect information considered essential for the sound management of the Great Slave Lake commercial fishery. Data from the fish plant sampling on the Great Slave Lake commercial fishery, summer and partial winter, are presented in this report. Production and catch per unit of effort by vessel type at weekly intervals by fishing area are shown. A total of 2902 lake whitefish were sampled for age, length and weight.--Document.
