"During the spring of 1980 a creel census, biological sampling and tagging study was conducted on the Arctic grayling sport fishery at Kakisa River, Northwest Territories. The 468 anglers interviewed spent 1 275 hours angling with success rates for Arctic grayling of 218 per angler or 1.0 per angler-hour. The total catch was estimated to be 1 297 Arctic grayling with 52% retained, resulting in a harvest of 764 fish (723 kg). Data on the sport fishery, the biology of the Arctic grayling and tag return information from the Kakisa River for 1980 are presented in tabular form."--Document.
