A tale of Tanglewood Peter Grimes reborn

On June 30, 1946 Benjamin Britten's opera Peter Grimes was first performed at the Tanglewood Music Center, conducted by Leonard Bernstein. Fifty years later, Tanglewood remounts the now famous opera with Seiji Ozawa conducting some of the world's most gifted student musicians. This film weaves a tapestry that travels back and forth over the 50 years that separate the two performances.
