Papers of several generations of a family with connections to Shullsburg, Wisconsin. Primarily documented by incoming correspondence are Isaac W. Glines, who came to Wisconsin in 1829 from Marietta, Ohio; his son Edward James, who served in the 3rd Wisconsin Infantry during the Civil War; his daughters Marietta Glines Lloyd and Hellen Glines James and their husbands; and his granddaughter Geneva Helen James, who managed a farm in the Shullsburg area.
