A description and assessment of the Atlantic salmon (Salmo salar) fall pre-smolt migration in relation to the Tobique Narrows hydroelectricity facility, Tobique River, New Brunswick using radio telemetry
In the fall 2006, collaborative research was conducted using radio telemetry to study the spatial and temporal movements of fall migrating, wild Atlantic salmon pre-smolts in the upstream and downstream vicinities of the Tobique Narrows Dam. Rotary screw traps (RST), and a mark recapture method were also used to provide an estimation of the fall pre-smolt population migrating from the Tobique River. This report describes the research and discusses the results.--Document.
