This is the sixth and final Part of the six Part Series. Part six covers the work of late 20th century philosophers and theorists, including Thomas Kuhn's revised understanding of science, Habermas and Barthes communication-based theories, Foucalt's analysis of power in institutions, Gouldner's class-based critique of Marxism and Willard van Orman Quine's post-philosophy analysis. Living American philosophers Rorty and Rawls are discussed, as is the post-modernism of French philosopher Lyotard. The series concludes with a summary of our progress in philosophy and some glimpses towards the horizon of this work.
