Well known for his children's books, Lewis held the Chair of Medieval and Renaissance English literature at Cambridge University. This autobiography describes his childhod, experiences in World War I, years at Oxford and, most importantly, his spiritual journey from conventional Christianity into atheism and back to Christiainity.
