Marigold

This story is set in Adelaide, South Australia, in the 1930s. Marigold Trent longs to be a good reporter, to be better educated, to exchange her less than satisfactory family home for something more glamorous. It is only when she uncovers the sad story of what happened to her beloved father that she begins to face the hard work of growing up. Turning away from both family and the two young men in her life, Marigold journeys to the desert where her father was always at his happiest. There she learns the truth that lets her leave the past behind and face the future with joy.
