The famous mystery writer Beatrice Crown has asked Nancy Drew to prove that her daughter, Karen, is not the thief of a fabulous set of diamonds. Soon after, Beatrice Crown's car takes a mysterious plunge into a canyon, and she disappears. While Nancy is flying over the canyon in search of Ms. Crown, her plane crashes, and solving the case becomes a matter of life and death. A Nancy Drew mystery.
