Ozark folksongs

In 1941-42, Vance Randolph, one of the pre-eminent folksong collectors of the last century, lugged what was then called a portable recording machine into the Ozarks and captured on disc over 800 songs, ballads and instrumentals. This CD presents, for the first time, a sampling from Randolph's immense treasure trove. Most of the selections have never been commercially available before now; and, indeed, some of the songs and ballads have not been previously recorded by any singers.
