  • ""Fogerty, musician, songwriter, and guitarist, maybe best known for his time with the swamp rock/roots rock band Creedence Clearwater Revival (CCR), but he is of course also an accomplished solo recording artist. In 1968, things started to develop for CCR. The band released its first album, the self-titled "Creedence Clearwater Revival", and also had their first hit single, "Susie Q". Many other hit singles and albums followed, beginning with "Proud Mary" and the parent album Bayou Country.John Fogerty began a solo career, originally under the name The Blue Ridge Rangers, for his 1973 LP debut. Fogerty played all of the instruments and sang on cover versions of others' country music hits, such as "Jambalaya", which ending up as a Top 20 hit. After performing country & western tunes he released a rock & roll single in 1973, also as The Blue Ridge Rangers. His second solo album John Fogerty was released in 1975 with great success. In 1977, British boogie rockers Status Quo recorded their version of "Rockin' All Over the World", which was written by John Fogerty. It. became a huge hit and made the song world-famous, not least by opening 1985's Live Aid with the song that had become one of their best-known anthems.Throughout his career, John Fogerty has never lost his roots in performing on stage, and continues to tour on a regular basis. On this DVD you will discover a stellar performance featuring one of his best backing band line ups to date: Dave Santos (bass), Kenny Aronoff (drums), Matt Nolen (keyboards, guitar & mandolin), Hunter Perrin (guitars) Billy Burnette of Fleetwood Mac fame (guitars), and Dan Hochhalter (fiddle, mandolin & guitars). Together they deftly run through the paces offering a burning song list of Fogerty & CCR classics to an enthusiastic festival audience in Glastonbury, UK!"--Container."
