The wild west coast

"South Australia's wild west coast begins at Coffin Bay and stretches across the Eyre Peninsula over 2,000 kilometres to the Head of the Great Australian Bight. It takes in arguably Australia's most dramatic seascapes and ends in the raw desert of the Nullarbor. It is a country that was built on legendary figures like Edward John Eyre and continues with fishermen, farmers and surfers. Keith Conlon begins his journey in a peaceful fishing town and ends it above the roaring Southern Ocean with its nursery of Southern Right Whales. Along the way he sees the oldest surviving Aboriginal football team in Australia, the Greek migrants who created a fishing dynasty, the surfers who have become artists and bakers and the people of the West Coast who still have a pioneering spririt. This video captures the scenery that has inspired filmmakers, artists and tourists for generations."
