Los Angeles private investigator Elvis Cole is hired by Jennifer Sheridan, who suspects her policeman fiancé, Mark Thurman, is mixed up in something shady. Before her forty-dollars is cold in the PI's pocket, Elvis gets a visit from Thurman, who insists he is just having an affair.
