An analysis is given pointing out the physical limitations for the output Radiofrequency (RF) power of octave bandwidth helix TWT's with solid electron beams. An absolute upper output limit is reached with the frequency independent upper RF power limit approximately equal to 2.5 KW at the long wave length end of the microwave spectrum.
