"Bookseller's description: A very rare music manuscript, containing a \"tonary\" explaining the Gregorian tones to which the psalms are sung. It begins with a chart \"Literae Dominicales\"; this is followed by antiphons and hymns. Then the Gregorian tones are explained: \"octo toni regulares\", \"Toni irregulares\", \"Toni Hymnorum\". Different melodies to the same words are noted for different occasions. The Requiem for the Dead is followed by a beautiful hymn \"Homo natus in hoc mundo\". In the end \"Lamentationes Hieremiae\", set for \"supra\" and \"tenor\". Page [i.e. fol.] 21 verso contains some verses, a pun on the word \"Fallo\" (probably the writer of the manuscript?\". A small portion of one page [fol. 42] is cut away, with no loss of text, otherwise in fine condition." .
