Employee representatives in an enlarged Europe

The objective of this study is to provide a general overview of the basic characterisctics of national systems of employee representation and participation in European undertakings within the framework of the prevailing industrial relations in each country. A comparative analysis has also been carried out on the unique and significant elements that make up these complex systems of labour relations and employee representation with the aim of providing a cross-cutting perspective which highlights common features. As a complement to this national and transnational analysis, the study also provides a brief presentation of the main European and international actors, both institutions and private, which operate in this wide field.
