Henry Roden, a member of the Alaska territorial legislature, talks about the first legislators in Alaska organizing the territory and making their own laws, the amount of money available to the early Alaska legislature, the appropriations for the state at that time, traveling between Juneau and Washington, resuming his law practice in Iditarod, moving to Juneau in 1917 to practice law, becoming the Alaska Attorney General in 1941, accepting the position of Territorial Treasurer in 1949, and attending sessions of the Alaska Legislature and providing information to individual members. Clyde Burkett reports on visitations to various pioneers in Fairbanks, Alaska with Andrew Wicken, Pete Stager, and Harrie Hughes.
