Die Story hat schon viele Merkmale der späteren Romane, sie ist originell erzählt, ebenso rasant wie düster und nicht eben zimperlich. Beeindruckend sind die fast hyperrealistischen, exzellent gezeichneten, oft in leuchtenden Farben, aber auch mit intensiven Schwarzanteilen kolorierten Illustrationen. Ob King-Fans auch Comics mögen, muss sich herausstellen, doch wenn nicht, würden sie etwas verpassen. Empfohlen."
