"Biography of Fred M. Hans, born in Nebraska in 1861. He left home at fourteen in search of a younger brother who has been kidnapped. This book describes his experiences as an Indian scout during the Cheyenne Wars, as the United States Marshal known as "Lone Star", and as a detective for the Chicago and Northwestern Railroad. During this time, he also continued the search for his lost brother. It is told in readable form, based on his daily diaries."
