Function theoretic methods in partial differential equations

The monograph deals with recent developments in the function theoretic approach to partial differential equations, and application of these developments to certain problems of current interest in mathematical physics. Using the theory of one and several complex variables, the author investigates the analytic behavior of solutions. Other topics discussed are: singular partial differential equations, function theory for solutions of elliptic partial differential equations, generalized Goursat data for nonlinear elliptic partial differential equations, applications to scattering theory.
