Agreeing to Bracei's proposal, saying that Edvige Lamperti, a former pupil of his wife's, who has settled in Paris and whom they see often, assures them that Bracei and Bolis are in fact the most honest in Milan, adding that the operas that Sigra. Claire has learned are Micaëla ([in Bizet's] Carmen), [Puccini's] Bohème, [Massenet's] Mireille and Manon, [Thomas's] Mignon, [Delibe's] Lakmé, [Gounod's] Faust, Giulietta, Rosina [in Rossini's] Barbiere, [Verdi's] Traviata and [Donizetti's] Lucia, and asking the recipient to publish a notice in his journal to the effect that the Australian soprano Frances Alda, a pupil of his wife's, has been engaged by the Opéra Comique for three years.
