Coraghessan Boyle, Italo Calvino, Andrei Codrescu, Billy Collins, Ernest Hemingway, Fayette Hickox, Erica Jong, Jack Kerouac, Kenneth Koch, Maxine Kumin, Archibald MacLeish, Norman Mailer, James Merrill, Marianne Moore, Toni Morrison, Joyce Carol Oates, Philip Roth, Mary Lee Settle, Anne Sexton, Terry Southern, William Styron, John Updike, and Eudora Welty.
