http://schema.org/description

  • ""Shortly after a woman returns home, neighbors hear a scream and a loud thud coming from her apartment. A few minutes later, Jonathan Crane drags a trunk from the woman's apartment to his car. Summoned by one of the neighbors the next day, the police break into the woman's apartment, find signs of violence, and assume that the woman is missing and possibly dead. Sergeant Harmon of the homicide squad visits Jonathan, who is a commercial artist. Jonathan protests his innocence, and because they lack evidence the police do not arrest him. That same day Barbara, Jonathan's wife, sees the strange trunk in their garage, but night comes before she finds the courage to open it, and Jonathan's sudden return home prevents her from seeing what is inside. Barbara goes to Jonathan's father, a psychiatrist, for help. They find only a sketch of Barbara in the trunk. Barbara is left alone, and the missing woman comes to her house and attempts to kill her. The missing woman appears at the house of Jonathan's father and kills the old man, but not before he recognizes the 'woman' as his own son dressed in feminine apparel. Barbara becomes suspicious of Jonathan and follows him to an apartment. Jonathan discovers her presence and attempts to kill her. Sergeant Harmon arrives to prevent the murder and gives chase, whereupon Jonathan runs from the police and falls off a dock into the path of an oncoming yacht"--AFI catalog, 1961-1970."
