"Nefarious Mother Morro is a disreputable innkeeper who charges smugglers protection money. After she procures a fruit dealer's innocent young daughter for Coast Guard Captain José's debauchery, Morro's beloved and purely innocent convent-reared daughter Mercedes meets and falls in love with the lecherous José. To avenge her daughter's stolen innocence, Morro hires an assassin to kill José, but Mercedes overhears the murder plans and offers her life to the assassin in order to save José. When Morro sees her daughter's body thrown over the cliffs, she becomes demented, and throws herself to her death also, taking José with her. On moonlit nights, Mother Morro's ghost haunts the Morro castle. Story set in Cuba. Violent scenes include a man having his tongue cut out, a strangling, and fist fights between Morro and a man."
