Mathinna's people

In 1642 young Tasmanian chief Wyrum and his tribe are living rich and happy lives when the "whale with wings" that is Tasman's ship appears. Two hundred years later, Towterer's people are massacred by white settlers, while his daughter Mathinna is adopted by the Governor's wife. This is fiction based on fact.
