Zoe, the beggar girl is brought before the king, and is told she will be taken deep into the forest to sing so that a unicorn will come and put his head into her lap. When the unicorn is captured, and Zoe finds out what the king needs from the unicorn she's angry, and plots the unicorn's escape.
