Senate papers (1941-1959) include materials from his work on the following committees: Civil Service (1941-1947); Post Office and Post Roads (1941-1947); Post Office and Civil Service (1947-1952, 1955-1959); Indian Affairs (1941-1946); Judiciary (1941-1959, chair 1953-54); Printing (1941-1942); Irrigation and Reclamation (1943-1946); Foreign Relations (1953-1959). Papers are included on Langer's difficulties with the Committee on Privileges and Elections on being seated after his election to the Senate in 1940; he was finally seated on March 27, 1942.
