Tributes to the memory of Peter Black
Peter Black (1878-1918) was born in Alloa, Clackmannan, Scotland. In 1901 he married Nellie Haworth and they came to the United States in 1903. They were the parents of one son. Peter entered the ministry in 1903 and became pastor in Verona, Wisconsin. This pastorate was followed by others in Wisconsin, Maine and Vermont until 1916 when he was appointed to the pastorate of Newtonville. Peter died suddenly in 1918 leaving behind his widow and small son.
