John Paybody was at Plymouth, Massachusetts, as early as 1636. His youngest son, William Paybody (ca. 1620-1707), married Elizabeth Alden, daughter of John and Priscilla Mullens Arden, at Plymouth in 1644. They had twelve children, 1645-1667. He died at Little Compton, Rhode Island. Record follows line of descent to Joseph Peabody (1781-1861) of the sixth genearation. He was born at North Stonington, Connecticut, the son of Thomas Peabody (1727- 1815). He married Sarah Taylor in 1800. They had eight children, 1801-1823. He died at Floyd, New York.

  • "Major Simon Willard (1604-1676) was born at Horsmonden, Kent, England, son of Richard Willard. He immigrated to New England in 1634, lived a year at Cambridge and then helped found Concord. In 1659, he sold his Concord homestead, and moved to Lancaster, then Groton, and Charlestown. He married three times and was the father of seventeen children. Record follows line of descent to John Griswold Willard (1802-1859) of the seventh generation. He was born at Westerfield, Connecituct, the son of Ephraim William (1772-1813) and the grandson of Simon Willard (1744-1829), who served in the Revolutionary War. He married Melissa Peabody, daughter of Joseph and Sarah Taylor Peabody, in 1838. They had eight children, 1829-1846. He died at Millgrove, Ohio. Children lived in Ohio, Illinois, and Nebraska."@en
