The law of love : a novel with music

The author integrates music into the novel, using a compact disc of Puccini arias and Mexican danzones; by playing the appropriate track of the CD when signaled to do so by an icon in the text, the reader will actually hear the arias when the characters in the novel do. As the music releases memories of past lives to the characters, the reader sees the content of those memories directly in the dramatic and colorful art of Miquelanxo Prado, Spain's premier graphic novel artist.

  • "Set in Mexico City in 2200. In the 23rd century, astroanalyst Azucena is separated from her twin soul Rodrigo after only one meeting. She sets out on a journey through past lives to find Rodrigo, and to restore the Law of Love. This fusion of science fiction and adventure-romance attempts to produce a multimedia 'event' that narrates through comic-strip panels, New Age tracts, precolumbian poetry, Puccini arias and period music on accompanying CD."
