http://schema.org/description

  • "The brutal reign of one of the twentieth centuries most notorious and bloodiest dictators, Idi Amin, began on January 25 1971, when he seized control of Uganda in a military coup. And so began an eight year reign of terror, torture, and the murder of up to 300,000 people. The military coup was executed with planned precision while Prime Minister Milton Obote was absent in Singapore. Amin's troops sealed off Antibes International Airport, a main artery into Uganda and took the capital Kampala. After hearing radio Uganda broadcast that Obote's government was riddled with corruption, Ugandans cheered and celebrated in the streets as they welcomed the coming of a new regime."
