On Acroloxus coloradensis (Henderson) (Gastropoda, Basommatophora) in Eastern Canada

Acroloxus coloradensis is a limpet previously known in only four lakes in the Rocky Mountains but now discovered in north-central Quebec and northeastern Ontario. This paper presents observations on ecology and on the morphology of egg capsules and adults. Remarks on zoogeography and on a presumed relationship of mussel shells and freshwater limpets are also included.
