When he was 19 years old, Moses married Elizabeth Williams, 17 years old. Both were orphans ... Probably in the early 1780's, Moses and Elizabeth moved to Montgomery County, Virginia and settled in the Blue Ridge Mountains. This history also tells us that Moses "Winters" became a "merchant and large land holder and farmer" in Virginia. ... No death date or place of burial for Elizabeth Winters have been found ... Moses Winters died in 1822 at the age of 94 while living with his son Obadiah in Ohio."--P.2-3.
