Si Sullivan m'était contée

"'Si Sullivan m'était contée ...' an intimate film close to Françoise Sullivan's universe. A poetic homage to Françoise Sullivan, this film deals with her life, her work and the evolution of the history of art in Quebec throughout the second half of the 20th century, in echo with the artistic milieu of Paris and New-York. Françoise Sullivan, automatist, one of the greatest figures of Canadian art and signatory of the Refus Global, was alternately dancer, choregrapher, photographer, sculptor and painter. 'Si Sullivan m'était contée ...' is a choreographical tale interpreted by the dancer Ginette Boutin, embellished by Denise Desautels' poetry and mingled with the sensitive images by the artist Martin Charron, a real propulsion and immersion into the creative process of Françoise Sullivan. 'Si Sullivan m'était contée ...' is an hymn to matter, the credo of Françoise Sullivan. Lauraine André G. reinvents the documentary and delivers a work that merges dance, poetry, color and music. An enchanting journey!"--Container.
