Ezra Ripley; his brothers, Daniel and William Emerson Farnham; and his wife, Evelyn M. Leonard Farnham. Contents of the letters include a description of the death of the elder Rev. William Emerson during the Revolutionary War; an account of a duel between two Harvard students in 1810; and a description of a fire in Newburyport in 1811. Several letters, including two from Henry Clay, and other papers relate to the visit of the Marquis de Lafayette to Indiana in 1825.
