Pioneer film producer Lasky is honored on the occasion of the publication of his autobiography, I blow my own horn. Edwards calls him a "dreamer who made motion pictures a world which changed our homes, our possessions and our very behavior" and the show will "recreate in flesh and blood the great hours of a life that has warmed the world with its magic qualities." Guesting are: Doubleday managing editor, Walter Bradbury; boyhood friend, Jay McCabe; wife, Bessie; Cecil B. DeMille (on film); Adolph Zukor (in New York City); Mervyn LeRoy; Walter Wanger; Charles (Buddy) Rogers; Richard Arlen; children, Jesse Lasky Jr., William (Bill) Lasky, and Betty Lasky. In the audience are Gale Storm and Linda Darnell. The show was rebroadcast on October 30, 1957 because for the first time in This is your life history, a subject was lost on the very day of the show due to illness. The June 12th show is run almost in its entirety, except for the end. At the conclusion, Lasky and wife Bessie come out live and relate what has happened to them since June.
