The teachings of Jesus take many forms, but the most memorable are undoubtedly his illustrative parables. Although the parables seem simple, the moral lessons they contain are deep and often central to understanding Jesus' life and death. Nearly a third of the words of Jesus recorded in the four gospels are found in his parables, and the rich imagery of these stories has inspired countless works of art throughout the centuries. Siegfried Goebel's book contains an exhaustive study and detailed analysis of these parables.
